Product Referral Program Terms and Conditions
The Promoter is Brother International (Aust) Pty Ltd ABN 17 001 393 835.
Information on how to participate in the Brother Product Referral Program (Program) forms part of these terms and conditions (Terms). Participation in this Program is deemed acceptance of these Terms. By entering the Program, the participant consents to Brother contacting them about promotional offers and exclusive content.
The Promoter’s decision on all matters pertaining to this Program is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
1. Eligibility
To be eligible for the Program customers must:
- select an eligible product as set out in section 3 below from any authorised Brother reseller (Product);
- pay the advertised retail price for the Product at the point of purchase from:
- 00:00AM AEDT 6 November 2023 to 11:59PM AEDT 31 January 2024 (Program Period);
- take receipt or delivery of goods when payment is made; and
- lodge a claim to redeem a prepaid gift card (Gift Card) for the value set out in section 3 below (Claim),
(collectively, the Eligibility Criteria).
Program available while stocks last within the Program Period. Claims will not be accepted on Products purchased prior to or after the Program Period. No rain checks are available with the Program. Claims that do not comply with the Eligibility Criteria are ineligible.
The Program is not valid in conjunction with any other Brother offer. If there is a dispute as to the identity of a participant, the participant will be deemed to be the person identified on the tax invoice for the eligible Product.
Program only open to Australian permanent residents aged 18 years or over who purchase a new Brother Product as set out in section 3 below.
Multiple Claims are not permitted, only one Claim per customer and email address will be allowed. Only one Claim per docket and customer will be allowed.
The Claim and Gift Card are not transferable, exchangeable or assignable, unless otherwise specified by the Promoter.
If for any reason a participant does not lodge a Claim to redeem a Gift Card by the time stipulated by the Promoter in section 2 below, then the ability to lodge a Claim and redeem a Gift Card will be forfeited.
The Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Gift Card with a reward to the equal value and/or specification.
The Promoter reserves the right to verify all Claims. Claims are void if illegible, forged, incomplete, indecipherable or tampered with in any way. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected Claims.
The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion to disqualify any participant who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardize the fair and proper conduct of the Program. The Promoter reserves its rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
2. Redeeming your Gift Card
The Gift Card must be redeemed by lodging a Claim via https://info.brother.com.au/product-referral-program. All Claims must be received by 11:59PM AEDT 29 February 2024. Any queries relating to submitting claims should be made in writing via email to: productsupport@brother.com.au
Every valid Claim received in accordance with the Eligibility Criteria and this section 2 will be awarded a Gift Card as set out in the following paragraph. The Gift Card is a prepaid card and is not a credit card.
Please allow up to 30 days from the date you submitted your Claim to receive your Gift Card. The Gift Card will be delivered to the same email address as the purchased Brother Products or otherwise provided to Brother as part of a Claim.
You are entitled to the Gift Card value until the expiry date of the Gift Card after which any remaining Gift Card value will be forfeited. The expiry date is stated on the front of the Gift Card. Please check the Gift Card for the exact expiry date. The issue and use of the Gift Card is subject to the Gift Card provider's terms and conditions and applicable laws. The Gift Card will need to be activated before using the card within six months of the date of issue or it will be cancelled. You will not be able to use your Card after the expiry date and any remaining Gift Card value will be forfeited.
You cannot use your Gift Card to obtain cash from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM), Point of Sale (POS) Device, or by any other means. The Gift Card itself may not be returned to any merchant for a refund, except where required by applicable law. The Gift Card will be issued by Corporate Prepaid Gift Cards / AFSL 509642. Funds will be issued in Australian Dollars.

4. Liability
Nothing in these Terms, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (Non-Excludable Guarantees). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Program.
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of:
- any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control);
- any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
- any claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter;
- any tax liability incurred by a participant; or
- redemption of a Gift Card.
If for any reason this Gift Card Program is not capable of running as planned including: infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, requirement of a regulatory body, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, incorrect or insufficient supplied merchant identification parameters, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness integrity or proper conduct of this redemption, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to the extent permitted by law, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Program and/or to disqualify a participant.
5. Privacy
The Promoter’s privacy policy (available on Brother’s website at: www.brother.com.au/en/contents/privacypolicy) contains information about how the Promotor will handle your personal information, and other information required to be disclosed to you under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You should read this policy before providing any personal information to the Promoter.
The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Program and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, offer suppliers and as required, to Australian regulatory authorities; entry is conditional on providing this information. By supplying the Promoter with your personal information for this Program, the participant consents to Brother contacting them about promotional offers and exclusive content.
